About

Reemy Art Residency is a two-day gathering. Each edition brings a small group of artists, photographers, and models together in a new Indian city — to make work, sit for one another, share what's in progress, cook, and talk about the craft.

It has run eleven times and counting. There's no institution behind it: Reemy chooses the people, books the space herself, and keeps the group small enough that everyone actually meets.

Who runs it

Reemy is a photographer, model, and self-portrait artist. She started the residency because the moments she valued most — making work alongside other people, in a room where everyone is paying attention — were the hardest to find.

She reads every application herself, hosts each edition in person, and curates the work that comes out of it.

What to expect

  • Two days in one city — a booked stay, shared meals, and time to make work.
  • A small, curated group of artists, photographers, and models.
  • Figure sessions, shoots, sketching, poetry, cooking, and long conversations.
  • You decide how you take part and how your work and likeness appear afterwards.
